Here are some factors to consider when choosing between the different types of life insurance:

• Length of coverage: Do you want a lifetime policy (permanent) or one that lasts for a set number of years (term)?

• Cost of premiums: Are you looking for a low monthly payment (term) or can you swing a bit more (permanent)?

• Option for cash value: Do you want your life insurance policy to build cash value over time (permanent)?
Need a little more help understanding the difference between term & permanent life insurance? Think of them this way:

• Term life insurance is like renting: you’re covered for a set time and have the option to renew.

• Permanent life insurance is like owning a home: as long as you pay your mortgage, it’s yours, and you can build equity over time.
