Life insurance isn’t just about what happens when you die. It can also be about what you build while you’re living.

A recent PEOPLE article highlighted a father using the cash value of a whole life policy as part of his strategy to help fund his son’s college education.

His description of life insurance made me smile:

“Whatever you think about life insurance, it’s boring… It is super boring. It is super safe.”

But perhaps the bigger takeaway was this:

“The misconception around life insurance is a generational problem as much as it is an industry problem.”

Certain permanent life insurance policies can build cash value over time and potentially become another tool in a larger financial strategy—for education, retirement, business planning, or leaving a legacy.

Life insurance may be boring. 😉
But understanding what it can actually do? That’s worth a conversation.

My competition isn’t another insurance company.

➡️It’s the GoFundMe created after someone passes away.

➡️It’s the fish fry organized by friends.

➡️It’s the BBQ fundraiser.

➡️It’s the donation jar at the local business.

➡️It’s a family grieving while trying to figure out how they're going to pay for a funeral, medical bills, the mortgage and everything that still comes due next month.

Those things are BEAUTIFUL examples of a community showing up for its own. But they SHOULDN’T have to be a family’s financial plan. ❌

❤️That's why I talk about life insurance.

Not because I want to sell you another policy.

Because when the worst day comes, I would rather see your family surrounded by people bringing casseroles, hugs and prayers — not asking those same people to help pay the bills.
