California employers should report Covid claims to their work comp carriers, yes. It’s your responsibility. It will NOT affect your ex-mod. You should put your carrier « on notice » and let the carrier conduct their due diligence and investigate whether they find that the case originated in your workplace, and whether they will accept the claim or not. You don’t need to try to make that determination alone. I’m sure the rules will change between now and the end of the year, but as of today, this is where we stand...send the 5020 with a « notice of delay ».
