Hello everyone! I finally got my business portraits done, so I figured what better time to introduce myself! 👋 Long post ahead...

Hey hey! For those who don't already know me, my name is Lacey Prater. I'm engaged to my high school sweetheart, Darius, of going on 5 years, and we share a precious little boy together named Cason! 💙😊

Before becoming a life insurance agent, I worked managing my family's restaurant and was a 2-time college dropout... you'll see where this is going. I had my little boy at 19 years old (He was born 3 months early but healthy as can be now! 🙏🏻) I struggled with severe anxiety and depression which took a huge toll on my life. One day, I decided I had to make a change and start working for the life I wanted. A life to not only better myself but those around me as well.

Having my little boy 3 months early resulted in my fiance and I moving to Memphis. I had to leave my job and everything I knew behind for a while. Once I came back home, I wasn't able to work long before I had to make the decision to stay at home with Cason or find a way to put him in daycare, which wasn't an option for me. I wanted to stay at home with him. It worked great for a while, but as I stated, the depression and anxiety were wearing me down and making me hopeless. I randomly started looking for remote jobs, and that's where I found my amazing upline Chelsea Christianer! Shoutout to the queen herself!!! 👑

No, I never thought life insurance was a job for me. 🤣 I never saw myself outside of the food industry. But God's plans truly are better than ours, and I wouldn't change a thing about it. I am able to work for an amazing company with great core values. I love being able to not only further educate myself but also my clients. It's important to me to leave a legacy for my family and give them a peace of mind if anything were to happen to me, and this job allows me to do that AND help hundreds of other families do it as well! Best part is I can do all of this while balancing my own life and family. 🥹❤️

I passed my state exam and became licensed in the State of Tennessee in July of 2023, also the month I found my amazing company. I am also currently working on completing my Associate Degree in Business and Finance. I currently work remotely, but I would love to expand my business in the future! I reside in Carroll County, but my services are offered state-wide!

Outside of the office and insurance world, my priority is being a mama. I love to read books, cook, travel, and bake! Speaking of baking, I'm launching my new side business Dem Cookiez on November 20th! I also love to advocate for mental health and preemie awareness!
