When I started in this business in 2012, I had no idea it would turn into the career I have today. I didn’t anticipate how much I would love what I do, or how rewarding it is to help someone purchase their new home or save money by refinancing. I was fortunate to be mentored by the late industry expert, John Norton, who had over 40 years’ experience in the mortgage business. He taught me all about
home loans and how to manage a variety of situations so I could provide the best service possible to our homebuyers. It feels like I have seen it all, but I am still learning every day! When a difficult challenge presents itself, I know how important it is to think outside the box for a creative solution. I know to ask questions, dig deeper, and take the time to consider all available options to find a resolution and minimize any undue stress for the borrower. The road to homeownership can be one of the most stressful things a person deals with in life. I will be there to help answer questions, alleviate concerns, and make the home loan process as smooth and easy as possible for my clients. When I’m not working, I am usually spending time with family and friends. My boyfriend, Gregg, and I enjoy going to concerts and comedy shows, and love traveling a few times a year. My daughter, Skyler, is 22 and a graduate of Duke University, and my son, CJ, is 19 and is a freshman at Appalachian State University. We have two sweet and funny Great Danes, Stella and Zeus, and a grumpy white cat, Elmer, who has one green eye and one blue eye. I believe that each of us is on our own journey in life, with different bumps and turns along the way.
