Steve Johnston, Vice President and Director of Child Care Programs, was recently at the Maryland Insurance Administration's public hearing on this issue. Here's the short version:

→ Childcare has always been tough to insure
→ Maryland's 2023 Child Victims Act opened insurers up to unlimited lookback liability
→ The result: higher premiums, fewer carriers, stricter underwriting

A 2025 cap on damages helps — but the market isn't stable yet.

Our founder, Jack Wurfl, served in the U.S. Army and was selected to serve in the color guard at the 10-year commemoration of the D-Day invasion in Normandy. It's a piece of history we carry with pride, and a reminder of the courage and sacrifice that defines this day.

On Wednesday, Josh Haisfield and Zack Papa attended the Carl Greeley Invitational at Mountain Branch Golf Club. The tournament honors the memory of Carl Greeley, founder of Geresbeck's Food Market, and raises funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
