I wanted to share some personal news — after more than 40 years in Jackson, TN, Laura and I have made the move to North Carolina to be closer to family. It's a big change, but one we're really excited about.

I'm still working, and we'll be back in Jackson periodically — I still have my office out in Three Way, so we'll have plenty of opportunities to connect in person when I'm in town.

On another note — our Jackson home is going on the real estate market in June. It's a wonderful property with a great backyard right next to USJ. If you know anyone who might be interested, I'd love for you to pass the word along!

I've shared this article before, but with kids and teens heading back to school and young adults packing to go to college, it is more important than ever for the young people in your life to understand how important a strong financial foundation can be!

As I talk with clients about retirement, one thing that always comes up is downsizing living space.
This leads us to an important question: should you buy or rent in the next chapter of life? The answer is not always straightforward, as it largely depends on lifestyle preferences. Some people enjoy being homebodies and piddling around the yard, while others prefer the freedom to travel. My wife, Laura & I currently enjoy both! However, one day we may have some decisions to make.
