It's been a little while since we've popped up in your feed... but don't worry, we've been busy! 😂

We've been behind the scenes helping clients with homes, autos, businesses, motorcycles, and all those little insurance questions that somehow always find their way onto our desks.

As a small independent agency, we're never short on things to do... and honestly, we like it that way. 😉

We're getting back into the swing of regular posting, so expect more insurance tips, helpful information, a little humor, and some behind-the-scenes moments from our tiny-but-mighty team.

But since it's Friday... we're going to go ahead and wrap this up before we start pretending we know how to work on a Saturday. 😎

📦 It must be moving season!

We've been getting quite a few calls lately from people purchasing new homes, which means somewhere, someone is probably saying...

"Wait... which box did we pack the coffee maker in?" ☕😂

Moving into a new home is exciting, but it can also feel like organized chaos. Between packing boxes, changing your address, and figuring out where everything goes, there's a lot on your plate.

So if you're getting the keys to a new place this summer, congratulations! Take a moment to enjoy it. Buying a home is a huge milestone, and one worth celebrating.

📄 Behind the scenes at our agency...

One of the things we spend a lot of time on is reviewing renewal policies.

Sometimes everything stays the same. Other times, we notice changes like updated coverage limits, new discounts, or changes made by the insurance company.

That's why we don't see renewals as "just another bill." We see them as an opportunity to understand what's changed and make sure there aren't any surprises.

Insurance isn't something most people think about every day... but we do! We're always happy to help make it a little easier to understand.

After all, that's what we're here for. 🙂

🌫️ Is it just us, or has it looked like the set of a post-apocalyptic movie lately?

The hazy skies are from wildfire smoke drifting in from Canada and Wisconsin. While it's made for some eerie views in Michigan, our thoughts are with the firefighters, first responders, and the families and communities directly affected by these wildfires. We hope everyone stays safe.

Here at home, it's a good reminder to take a few simple precautions while the air quality is poor:

🏠 Keep windows and doors closed when possible.
🌬️ Check or replace your HVAC filter if it's been working overtime.
📱 Keep an eye on local air quality reports before spending extended time outdoors.
🚨 Test your smoke detectors and replace the batteries if it's been a while.

Here's hoping for clearer skies, cleaner air, and safety for everyone in the days ahead. ☀️

Many people think the color of their car affects their insurance rate. That's actually a myth! 🚗

Insurance companies generally look at factors like the vehicle itself, where it's driven, mileage, driving history, and claims history... not the paint color.

So if you've always wanted that bright red car, don't let the color stop you. 😄

🥵 If you're hiding inside because of this Michigan heat lately, we've got a way to spend five minutes that doesn't involve checking the weather app for the tenth time.

Grab your phone and do a quick video walkthrough of your home.

Open closets and cabinets. Capture your furniture, electronics, appliances, and the other things that make your house feel like home.

Then save the video somewhere secure, like cloud storage.

Will you need it? We certainly hope not.

But if you ever have to file a claim, you'll be glad you took a few minutes to document your belongings before the unexpected happened.

It's one of the easiest insurance tips we share with our clients and one that's easy to forget until you wish you hadn't.
