I want to share a quick story that really reminded me why I do what I do.
Not too long ago, someone reached out to me needing help with their health insurance. They were frustrated, confused, and honestly just tired of feeling like they were paying too much for coverage they didn’t fully understand.
After taking a deeper look at their situation, I had to give them some tough news. I wasn’t able to help them enroll in a plan based on their specific circumstances.
And I’ll be honest… that’s usually the point where most people would move on.
But instead, I stayed on the phone with them and spent time breaking everything down. I explained how their current plan actually worked, what options might be available to them, and even introduced concepts like private PPO coverage and how underwriting plays a role in pricing.
Even though I knew there was no sale in it for me.
By the end of the conversation, they thanked me and said no one had ever taken the time to explain things that clearly before.
That stuck with me.
It made me realize (again) that this has never really been about making a sale for me. It’s about helping people. It’s about making sure someone feels a little less lost when it comes to something as important as their health coverage.
Not every conversation turns into business, and that’s okay.
If you ever have questions about your coverage, even if you’re not sure I can help, I’m always willing to point you in the right direction.
Because at the end of the day, doing right by people will always matter more.
