There are ways to still get the child tax credit paymentsif you haven’t filed 2020 taxes or if you just had a baby in 2021: -the IRS will open a portal on July 1 to update your information
-the first payment is set to be mail or direct deposit July 12
Be ready!

The IRS will start sending monthly payments from the new $3,000 child tax credit in July to families who have proven eligibility by filing a 2020 tax return.
