Knights of Columbus Memorial Council 6527 Serving Saint John Vianney Catholic Church and the surrounding area, holding fast to the principles Thanks to the efforts of Father Michael J. John Vianney.

With over 1.8 million members worlwide, the Knights of Columbus is the largest lay Catholic organization in the world. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven and some of his parishioners, the Connecticut state legislature on March 29, 1882 officially chartered the Knights of Columbus as a fraternal benefit society. The Order is still true to its founding principles of Charity

, Unity and Fraternity. Memorial Council No. 6527 was created in 1972. It was made up from members of St. Cecilia Parish, St. Cyril Parish, and St. John Vianney Parish. The Council originally met at St. Cyril’s then moved to St. John Vianney Parish in 1974. Now it is primarily made up of parishioners of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Memorial Council No. 6527 Knights of Columbus has contributed financial support to several originations and currently hosting events. The members of the Knights of Columbus are involved with the different activities along their many ministry duties at our Parish of St.
