My neighbors & I are 100% in support of having festivals & economic activities in our neighborhood. We go out of our way to support the local restaurants, bars, & businesses because they're our neighbors.

The fight with the non-elected board members of the Official East Downtown HOU (MIS)Management District is more than a patch of grass in the middle of a concrete jungle on the east side of downtown Houston.

It's about holding those in position of power accountable to Houstonians who live in undeserved communities.

For too long, these faceless entities have been operating in the shadow with impunity. None of the 9 non-elected board members lives in the neighborhood for which they make quality of life decisions for us full-time residents.

Residents are not background scenery for a management district. We are the neighborhood. East Downtown is a neighborhood, not a private business park. People actually live here. We residents patronize the restaurants, bars, shops, and other businesses that generate the economic activity the District depends on.

None of these 9 non-elected board members of the Official East Downtown HOU (MIS)Management District lives in our neighborhood 😭 :

At 71-69, our Astros hold a 2-game lead in the AL West. They're only 2.5 games from being the 2nd seed in the AL for the PS. They now have the tie breaker over the Chi-Sox.
