FOUR SEGMENTS...

1) The Electronic Intifada Newscast - A summary of the latest developments in occupied Palestine including the Israeli genocide and catastrophic situation in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing Israeli atrocities in the West Bank, and Lebanon, presented by Nora Barrows-Friedman, associate editor at the Electronic Intifada.

2) Rania Khalek Recounts ‘Terrifying Massacres’ in Beirut w/ Vijay Prashad - From BreakThrough News: Rania Khalek, an award-winning Lebanese-American journalist and host of Dispatches on BreakThrough News, speaks with historian and analyst Vijay Prashad and Zoe Alexandra, Editor-in-Chief at Peoples Dispatch, after escaping Beirut, recounting a “horrendously terrifying” day as Israeli airstrikes leveled residential buildings without warning, overwhelming hospitals and leaving scores dead and injured. She describes indiscriminate destruction across densely populated neighborhoods, challenging claims that the attacks targeted militants and warning that “nowhere is safe” in Lebanon. Khalek also warns this escalation could expand regionally, arguing that what’s being done to Lebanon today could soon be repeated against Iran — with U.S. backing. “If the Israelis are doing this to Lebanon now, they will do it to Iran again, and so will the Americans.”

3) Netanyahu’s Gospel: From Christ to Genghis Khan - From Middle East Eye Opinion: Soumaya Ghannoushi سمية الغنوشي, a writer and expert in Middle East politics, argues that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent remarks in referencing Genghis Khan elevate conquest and violence above the moral teachings of Jesus Christ. Ghannoushi points out that when Netanyahu claimed, “Jesus Christ has no advantage over Genghis Khan", he was rejecting the principles of mercy and the sanctity of life in favour of a “campaign of obliteration". She emphasises that this is not merely just rhetoric but a functional strategy in action, citing recent restrictions on Christians to celebrate in Jerusalem and Israel’s two-year genocidal war in Gaza.

4) Can Christian Palestinians survive Israel’s occupation? - From Middle East Eye (presenter Aaya Al-Shamahi): As the world prepares for Easter, many Palestinian Christians are being blocked from reaching their holy sites as Israeli restrictions tighten further amid the war with Iran. Israel has long restricted access for Palestinian worshippers in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. But this year, access to Jerusalem is severely limited, with site closures imposed and ceremonies cancelled during Holy Week. On Palm Sunday, senior church leaders were prevented from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the first time in centuries. For a community that now makes up less than 2% of the population, their presence is under growing strain from Israeli occupation, land loss and settler violence. So how did Palestinian Christians go from the “living stones” of Christianity to struggling to survive?

TOPICS: 1) Electronic Intifada Newscast; 2) "Greater Israel: is Lebanon the first destination?"; 3) "By serving Israel's agenda, Trump betrayed Gulf allies"

1) The Electronic Intifada Newscast - A summary of the latest developments in occupied Palestine including the Israeli genocide and catastrophic situation in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing Israeli atrocities in the West Bank, presented by Nora Barrows-Friedman, associate editor at the Electronic Intifada.

2) "Greater Israel: is Lebanon the first destination?" – A podcast from Middle East Eye, in which Mathilda Mallinson, host of the podcast, interviews Dr. Maha Shuayb, Director of the Center for Lebanese Studies, about the forced displacement of over 1,000,000 people by Israel, and also interviews Gideon Levy, Israeli journalist and author, about the Israeli attack on Lebanon.

For more than a million people in Lebanon now sleeping in cars, shelters, refugee camps and the streets, their homes bombed to rubble, the difference between words may feel immaterial. But under international law, the difference is monumental. Under the Geneva Convention armies are obliged to give advance warning of attacks that may affect civilian populations. But they are strictly prohibited from forcibly displacing civilians– unless it is for their own security. Even in this case, they must ensure there is satisfactory shelter, and allow civilians to return as soon as possible. In other words, an evacuation is a legal requirement– but forced displacement is a war crime.

3) "By serving Israel's agenda, Trump betrayed Gulf allies" - An opinion by Soumaya Ghannoushi سمية الغنوشي, a British-Tunisian writer and expert on Middle East politics, published at Middle East Eye. Ghannoushi argues that instead of shielding the region from conflict, the presence of American bases — which were supposed to protect Gulf states — has turned them into targets in a war they neither started nor wanted. She says “From Doha to Riyadh, the lesson is becoming difficult to ignore: the arrangement meant to guarantee their security is now exposing them to danger”.

TOPICS: 1) Electronic Intifada Newscast; 2) "Israel Brings ‘Gaza Doctrine’ to Lebanon: Rania Khalek Reports From Beirut"; 3) "Israel's war of regional supremacy will not end with Iran"; 4) “Greater Israel Explained: The Israeli plan to conquer the Arab World"

Apartheid Israel continues to excel at what it does best, and that is attacking others, creating wars, and causing massive displacements, death, and destruction. The ongoing genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip is apparently not enough for Apartheid Israel, so it decided to expand its war crimes against others, by launching with the US a war on Iran, expanding and escalating its ongoing atrocities and attacks on Lebanon, and who knows what is next, as Apartheid Israel seems to speed up its plan for the so called "Greater Israel".

During this episode of Arab Voices, we will have 4 segments:

1) The Electronic Intifada Newscast - A summary of the latest developments in occupied Palestine including the Israeli genocide and catastrophic situation in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing Israeli atrocities in the West Bank, presented by Nora Barrows-Friedman, associate editor at the Electronic Intifada.

2) "Israel Brings ‘Gaza Doctrine’ to Lebanon: Rania Khalek Reports From Beirut" - An interview Eugene Puryear, an American journalist, author, activist, and host on BreakThrough News, conducted with Rania Khalek, an award-winning Lebanese-American journalist and host of Dispatches on BreakThrough News.

3) "Israel's war of regional supremacy will not end with Iran" - David Hearst, editor in chief of Middle East Eye, said in a recent podcast that the US and Israeli strike on Iran marks the start of a war aimed not at Iran’s nuclear program, but at regime change. He says Iran had just made what Oman described as a “substantial offer” in negotiations with Washington to dilute its stock of highly enriched uranium, yet the talks served as cover for what he describes as a pre-planned decapitation strike. He says that weakening Iran is central to a broader Israeli project increasingly described as “Greater Israel”, the idea that Israeli power should extend across the region.

4) “Greater Israel Explained: The Israeli plan to conquer the Arab World" by Kei Pritsker, a New York-based journalist and activist with BreakThrough News.

During the January 25, 2026, webinar, Doctors Against Genocide featured two Palestinians medical doctors: Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, Palestinian-Australian ER doctor, who participated in several missions to Gaza, speaking about the catastrophic situation in Gaza and the latest on the Global Sumud Flotilla and how different that is than previous flotillas, and Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah, world-renowned Palestinian-British surgeon with academic posts at Imperial College London University, discussing the two phases of the genocide in Gaza where he spoke about MSFs decision to handover its list of employees as a serious violation of law including European data protection laws. He connects this to how Western imperialism is trying through violence of language, politics and war to create rupture with its liberal institutions, international law and rule based world order.
