Homeowners insurance does not cover flood damage. Many flood claims occur in areas that have never flooded before.

2️⃣ What is your wind/hail deductible?
Many policies now carry 2% deductibles, and some are 5%. On a $350,000 home, that’s $7,000-$17,500 before insurance starts paying.

3️⃣ Can you actually afford your deductible?
Insurance is there for major losses, but your deductible is your responsibility. Make sure you know what yours is before a storm is headed toward the Gulf.

-Bring your pets inside.
-Lock doors, close windows & air vents.
-Pay attention to updates and instructions from local officials.
-Go into an interior room with few windows.

Wildfire risk has been widespread recently due to weather conditions across multiple states. Remember: If your area is under a fire weather watch or red flag warning, follow directions from local officials and avoid activities that could spark a wildfire.

We recently approved four Fire Management Assistance Grants to help with firefighting costs for the:
- 1170 Road Fire (Oklahoma)
- Corner Pocket Fire (Texas)
- Qury Fire (South Dakota)
- Morrill-Cottonwood Fire (Nebraska)

These grants support and sustain state and local efforts as responders work to protect lives and property.
