It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Bill Edmondson, the beloved owner and founder of Vintage Underwriters. Bill passed away Tuesday, July 8, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Bill was more than a leader—he was a mentor, a visionary, and a true friend to so many in the industry. A man of great knowledge and strong opinions, he brought clarity, conviction, and expertise to every conversation. With decades of experience and an unwavering commitment to excellence, he built Vintage Underwriters into a trusted name, guided by integrity, insight, and dedication to those he worked with and served.

His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working with him and knowing him. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues as we honor his remarkable life and lasting legacy.

Vintage Underwriters is excited to announce the appointment of its new executive leadership team. This strategic move accompanies the transition of owner Bill Edmondson to the role of Chairman on August 1.

Becky Edmondson has been named Chief Executive Officer. Mark Edmondson will serve as President. Kathryn Noser has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, and Saby Gonzalez will step into the role of Chief Underwriting Officer. Collectively, the new executive team brings over a century of industry experience to their roles.

Mark Edmondson, newly appointed President, remarked, “We are thrilled to guide Vintage Underwriters into this exciting new chapter. Our focus remains on delivering exceptional underwriting services while positioning ourselves for sustained growth. We take pride in our independence and our ability to thrive in an environment of consolidation.”

Founded in 1980 by Bill and Becky Edmondson, Vintage Underwriters specializes in commercial insurance across Texas and Louisiana. The agency offers a comprehensive range of coverage including Property, Casualty, Workers Compensation, Flood, Professional Liability, and more.
