The IRS just like every year has hiccups and not so good communication.

If you are one of the people who are still waiting to be funded and your status has not updated, do NOT wait patiently any longer.

Step 1: Find your nearest IRS office.
Step 2: Reach out to them to make an appointment and/ or if they accept walk-in's, walk-in to speak with them.
Step 3: Before going, make sure you have access to your Tax Return because they will ask for it.
Step 4: Take 2 forms of identification with you:
ID or License (must be unexpired and hard copy)
Social Security Card
Birth Certificate
Passport

MOST people simply need to verify their identity.
This is a very simple process and once you have been verified they will unlock your account. If your account has any other issues they are also able to let you know that as well.

Or Call this number to see when your letter was mailed out so you can verify or let them know if you didn’t receive a letter at all.

Easier and requires less record-keeping.
For every mile you drove for Lyft in Jan-Jun, you'll get a 58.5-cent deduction and for miles driven in July-Dec, you'll get a 62.5-cent deduction. This set rate is meant to cover all of your car expenses (oil, gas, etc.).
ACTUAL EXPENSES METHOD
Could possibly be a bigger savings, but you need receipts (see Common Vehicle Expenses)

is coming to a close, and we are headed into 2021 Tax Season! As we wrap up the year here are a few tips to keep in mind!
♦️Many of us has changed jobs or location... be sure to contact your former employer(s) to update your mailing address or email address(Depending on how they deliver W-2s). So many of my customers are waiting for w-2s every year that have been sent to the wrong address!
♦️ Locate last year’s tax return and have it ready for when you file this year. This can be helpful to remember last years filing situation (especially if you have a new tax preparer this year)
♦️ Start looking into who will prepare your tax return this year. If you are in the market to switch, make sure you’re going with a knowledgeable, reputable preparer. If you have a special situation start seeking out a tax preparer that has dealt with your unique situation. Start doing your research now so that you can make an educated decision ! ..
