L. Danielle Swiney, Partner with New York Life Hiring and Developing Entrepreneurial People Who Are Interested in a Career in Financial Services How will I be trained? How will I be compensated?

In considering any career change, many questions may arise, such as: What will be my responsibilities? The answers to these questions depend on many factors. When you sell insurance or financial services, you're not merely selling products, you're developing relationships. Your relationship with your customers, as well as the trust they place both in you and in the products you offer, are critical

components to your ultimate success. You'll also make a vital contribution to your community, and when you see the difference that can make, it's more fulfilling than you might imagine. Agents with the Houston General Office provide very intimate services in the insurance and financial services marketplace. They meet with and know their clients on a personal level. The responsibilities of an agent include contacting new people, meeting with them and fact-finding to gather necessary information regarding their present situation, providing analysis of situations, and ultimately presenting solutions that help meet objectives. I hope you’ll help me celebrate this exciting new chapter!

One of the very first people I met at New York Life was Kristi Cain. We happened to ride the elevator together on my way to my compensation meeting at the General Office. At the time, neither of us knew that simple conversation would be the beginning of a meaningful connection.

Fast forward to today, and having Kristi be a part of one of the biggest milestones in my NYL career thus far, made this moment even more special!

I am incredibly honored and excited to officially step into my new role as Partner at New York Life. This journey has challenged me, stretched me, and reminded me that the greatest accomplishments are never achieved alone.

Here’s to leading with purpose, developing extraordinary talent, serving families, and building something that lasts.

The best is yet to come. 💙✨

Yesterday’s Houston General Office Mid-Year Kickoff at Sugar Creek Country Club felt like the perfect halftime locker room talk.

We celebrated the wins, made the adjustments, refocused on the mission, and walked out ready for a strong second half.

Now it’s time to execute. Let’s finish 2026 stronger than we started.

What an inspiring day at the Women in Leadership Kentucky Derby Tea Party! 🌸🏇

As an Associate Partner with New York Life and the proud Notebook Sponsor for this year’s event, it was an honor to support a gathering that brought together nearly 300 accomplished women who are leading, serving, and making a meaningful impact throughout our community.

My friend and keynote speaker,Lizeth Sitta, delivered a powerful reminder that imposter syndrome doesn’t discriminate. It often whispers that we’re not ready, experienced enough, or qualified enough—but growth doesn’t require perfection. We are all learning, evolving, and becoming the leaders we were created to be.

One of my favorite parts of the day was connecting with so many remarkable women from across different industries. Building relationships with leaders who are committed to serving others is one of the greatest investments we can make.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers, sponsors, and volunteers who made this event such a tremendous success. I was proud to play a small role as the Notebook Sponsor and to support an experience that encouraged women to continue betting on themselves.

As I continue building my career at New York Life, I’m reminded that leadership is about more than professional success—it’s about creating opportunities, investing in people, and helping others realize what’s possible.

Here’s to continuing to lead with confidence, purpose, and the courage to take the next step. 💙✨

I’m excited and grateful to share that I have achieved Executive Council with New York Life and earned the opportunity to lead as an Associate Partner! 💙✨

For me, this milestone is about more than professional advancement. Throughout every area of my life—whether serving my community, advocating for students and families, mentoring others, or building my career—I have always believed that leadership is about creating opportunities, developing people, and making a meaningful impact.

As an Associate Partner, I now have the opportunity to recruit, mentor, train, and develop individuals who are ready to build something meaningful for themselves and their families. I know firsthand what can happen when work ethic, discipline, purpose, and the right opportunity come together.

This next chapter allows me to combine so many of the things I value most: leadership, financial education, relationship building, community impact, and helping others recognize their own potential.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, grateful for everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way, and excited about the team and legacy I am building. The journey is just getting started! 🙌🏾

If you’re exploring a career where your effort can directly influence your growth, income potential, leadership opportunities, and ability to make a difference in the lives of individuals, families, and business owners, I would love to connect with you.

Sometimes the opportunity that changes your life starts with one conversation. 💙

I’m proud to be part of an organization that recognizes excellence while investing in the growth of its people. Here’s to celebrating this incredible milestone and to even greater success in the years ahead! 🥂✨

📞 When Cherelle Duncan called and casually asked, “Are you available on June 8th?” I responded, “Let me check my calendar.” The way she asked, you would have thought it was an invitation to lunch. 😊

What I didn’t realize was that it was an invitation to something far more meaningful—an opportunity to be recognized for the work, service, and commitment poured into our community. ❤️ Completely surprised and deeply humbled, my response was simply, “Thank you… let me see if I can adjust my schedule!”

🏆 Sunday Afternoon, I had the privilege of attending the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) Greater Houston Chapter’s 40th Anniversary Scholarship Luncheon & Awards Ceremony. It was an inspiring afternoon celebrating the next generation of leaders as deserving students were awarded scholarships to pursue their dreams. 🎓✨

To be honored alongside so many dedicated changemakers for my steadfast commitment to serving others was both unexpected and incredibly meaningful.

Whether serving as an Alvin ISD Trustee, mentoring youth, advocating for educational opportunities, or in my role as an Associate Partner with New York Life, where I have the privilege of recruiting, developing, and empowering future leaders and financial professionals, my passion has always been the same—helping people recognize their potential and creating pathways for success. 🌟🤝

Community advocacy has never been about recognition; it has always been about showing up, opening doors 🚪, building bridges 🌉, and ensuring that every voice has a seat at the table.

Leadership is not simply about the positions we hold, but the lives we impact and the opportunities we help create for others. 💡

🙏 I am grateful for every organization, mentor, colleague, family member, and community partner who has allowed me to serve alongside them. This recognition is a reminder that when we commit ourselves to uplifting others, the impact extends far beyond what we can see.

🚀 The work continues. The mission continues. And my heart remains committed to serving, developing leaders, and strengthening communities with purpose, passion, and gratitude.

✨ Every opportunity to serve is a chance to make a difference.
