About a month ago, I stepped into a new chapter with New York Life as an Associate Partner—and it’s already been an incredible journey.

In this role, I have the opportunity to identify, mentor, and develop driven individuals who are ready to build meaningful careers in financial services and entrepreneurship. Watching people step into their potential and create something of their own is truly powerful.

Community partners hold a special place in my heart. Through intentional collaboration, these partnerships help shape and strengthen our communities as a whole.

According to The Dallas Observer, in 2022 only one abandoned baby was reported in the Houston area. However, following the implementation of abortion restrictions, Houston experienced a 500% increase in baby abandonments and a 300% surge in hotline calls during the summer months. This dramatic rise highlights a likely connection between policy changes and desperate circumstances in certain communities.

That’s why I proudly support The Davenport Foundation and the incredible work they are doing with youth right here in Brazoria County.

Guiding Our Youth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making a lasting difference in the lives of at-risk youth, as well as current and former foster youth and their families. Their mission is driven by dedicated mentors who lead by example, empowering young people with the life skills and tools needed to thrive. Through educational workshops, summer camps, after-school programs, and financial support, participants are prepared to become independent, responsible, and productive members of their communities.

I had the privilege of attending their 2025 Grit Graduation Ceremony, where graduates were celebrated with inspiring words from the keynote speaker, thoughtful care packages, and valuable resources to support them as they step into the next chapter of their lives.

Our 1st Annual Teacher Appreciation Event was a truly memorable celebration—

We came together to honor the educators who inspire, empower, and shape the future every single day. The smiles, laughter, and heartfelt moments shared were right on time as they completed year end testing and are anxiously awaiting their upcoming summer REST.

To every volunteer, supporter, and of course, to our phenomenal teachers—thank you for making this event such a resounding success. Here’s to many more years of celebrating the difference you make!

I spent my morning with the Northern Brazoria County Chamber of Commerce. Local community leaders and volunteers came together to share valuable tools and resources to raise awareness about child abuse prevention as we approach Child Abuse Prevention Month in April. The pinwheel, shining in the sun, symbolizes the bright future every child deserves.
