Kathy Hepburn Ogionwo is the owner of ByGod’s Grace Financial and has been building her business with The Alliance for the past six years. Originally from the Bahamas and now residing in Houston, Kathy’s journey is rooted in faith, resilience, and a deep desire to create a lasting legacy for her family and community.
Before entering the insurance industry, Kathy worked as a Lead Underwriter for a property and casualty insurance company. Although she had built a successful corporate career, she always felt God had something greater in store for her. Tired of being overworked and underpaid, she began searching for an opportunity that would allow her to build something of her own while creating freedom for her family.
Kathy attended the University of Florida before graduating from Broward College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Today, she and her husband, Wodau “Fred” Ogionwo, are raising their son, Zaccai, while continuing to grow a business centered on faith, service, and integrity.
One of Kathy’s proudest accomplishments was walking away from corporate America in June 2022. After years of attending events, questioning whether entrepreneurship was truly possible for her, and pushing through fear and uncertainty, she finally took the leap. She now considers that decision one of the greatest milestones of her life.
Kathy credits much of her growth and belief in herself to her mentor, Olga Mathis, whose encouragement, accountability, and unwavering support helped Kathy realize that success was possible for her as well.
Driven by her desire to leave a legacy for her son, family, and country, Kathy continues pursuing her goal of becoming an Integrity Partner with The Alliance. She believes that fear should never stop someone from pursuing their purpose and has learned to move forward even without having every detail figured out.
Beyond business, Kathy is also an author who wrote a book about her personal triumphs and challenges. She additionally sends daily affirmations to thousands of people around the world, spreading encouragement and positivity. Above all, Kathy considers herself a mother first and leads with her heart, believing that nothing happens by coincidence and remaining committed to helping anyone God places in her path.
