Wish we had good news and were able to inform you that rates would start going down but all 5 TDSPs in Texas have put in their fall TDSP tariff rate increases effective 9/1. They are significant, and you will see this reflected in REP ‘banner rates’ (the 500, 1000 and 2000 kWh comparison rates on EFLs) increasing even though the underlying energy plans haven’t changed.

• Oncor – Increase in pass thru variable charges from $0.038498 to $ 0.050339– Increase of $0.011841
• CNP – Increase in pass thru variable charges from $0.037332 to $0.054694 – Increase of $0.017362
• AEPC – Increase in pass thru variable charges from $0.042970 to $0.055226 – Increase of $0.012256
• AEPN – Increase in pass thru variable charges from $0.039205 to $0.051265 – Increase of $0.012060
• TNMP – Increase in pass thru variable charges from $0.045521 to $0.060465 – Increase of $0.014944

Your fixed energy rate stays the same, but unfortunately everybody's TDSP charges will go up regardless of who you get your electricity/plan from. I just wanted y’all to have a heads up.
