Which means, public records will always be bad for you, There are three types of public records: Bankruptcy, Tax liens and or Civil judgments. Public records may stay on your credit report from to 7 years to forever, if not paid. You do not want these to show up on your credit report. These type of records are responsible for some of the most significant credit score drops and can single-handedly prevent you from moving forward with a home, business or even employment.
