Today Kiley, Phillip, Norman, and I (and our youngest member - it is never too early to start!) had our first FinTech community planning meeting. We discussed our experiences in finance, non-linear careers, and desire to support founders and entrepreneurs through community building.

Best of all, we gave each other homework: not just to ideate, but to hold the others accountable to executing, making sure Houston’s fintech founders know they have a community and scaling that community with intention. Yesterday evening, on the last day of Women’s History Month, women of the Femme Noire Investment Group announced their investment into Diversity Fund Houston.

This investment represents the collective power communities have when combining resources and working together to create the changes they want to see.

DFH is excited to partner alongside such a dynamic group of women as we continue on this journey to support and fund Black and Hispanic technology founders.
