Here’s a nugget for thought, from Etienne the Author.
Being in a marriage, is akin to being a professional defensive lineman in the NFL. Your job is to stop the opponent (Satan) from scoring, thus securing a victory for the team. Remember the saying, “Defense when’s championships.”
Here’s how…
1.BUILD CORE STRENGTH & LEAN MUSCLE through daily workouts and training. (Consistently hearing, understanding and executing God’s word, concerning marriage.)
2. EAT PROPERLY. ONLY EAT what will build muscle to perform at the highest level. (Guard your heart and mind from YOU/YOUR selfish flesh and the opponent (Satan) who pretends to be your teammate! Beware he will only feed you TRASH FOODS to make you ineffective. Again, GUARD your MIND!!!!

3. Study your opponent (Satan) and his offensive linemen (demons). They are susceptible to the Word of God. Therefore, shoot the gaps every play. (everyday of your life) If you study them well you will know what demons are hall of fame devils. They are good, but susceptible. It will require Step 4 to get past them and sack their quarterback. (Satan)
4. Remember to utilize skills and drills learned and acquired in practice. (Church, time spent talking to God)
Speed, Agility, Gaining the Advantage through Leverage, Footwork and Hand technique are key to stop their attack. Stay calm, slow your breathing and fire off the second the ball is snapped. The linemen with the quickest twitch muscles gains the advantage.
Result… a consistently sacked quarterback (Satan), a demonic running back consistently stopped for a loss.
Ultimate Result… a victory because the Offensive (Sexual Attraction, Intimacy, Quality Time, Family Fun, Financial Prosperity, Good Health) averages about 56 points a game.
Message… If you are only good for offense and suck at playing defense, your marriage will never win a championship. You will have a up and down season every year at best!
