I thought this quiz was somewhat limiting. I save, and I save a lot, but I'm also comfortable with taking risks sometimes. Not because I think that money will always come from somewhere, but I've built a safety net. If you're trying to pay off debt and get started in your saving, this might be a good starting point for you.

Get to the bottom of your money habits.

Saving is hard...

especially when you're not used to it and you're just getting started. You have think, plan, practice, adjust, test, etc. This pandemic is a perfect example of why saving is so important. People are losing their jobs left and right, bills and rent are due, and assistance isn't coming fast enough.

As you work to get your feet back on the ground, let me share a plan with you that we do at my home. My husband kept track of our bills for a year and determined how much we spent in total. Then he took that number and divided it by 12. Then we estimated how much per month we spent on groceries and added that number to the monthly bill number. Then we agreed to put aside that money every month so that we have our money for our bills and groceries for the following year. We also included our taxes, but it's up to you if you want to or not.

For my part, I set up my direct deposit so I get my main money into one account and my bill and grocery money go into an account that I don't use regularly. When January 1 rolls around, we already have our bills and groceries ready for the year.

Let’s be real! Most people want the wealth without the WISDOM.

Ask yourself this honest question. If you had $1,000,000 today, what would you do with it? 🤔

At the beginning of the week, I stash away $20. I'll use the money to pay for concert tickets and tshirts. I also use it for last minute trip money, or to purchase a want that I don't want to pull from my main money.
