Good Morning!! Happy Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) everyone!!

October 15 (Today) until December 7 is Medicare Annual Enrollment Period. You can change your plan as many times as you would like, which ever plan is closest to December 7 at 11:59 P.M. start January 1st. Plans change a bit ever year. I am contracted with 14 insurance companies. There will be lots of spam calls. I am here to help you understand it eaiser and find the plan that fits your needs. I am always free of charge, you never pay me a single penny.

I help you understand the ABC and D's of Medicare.

• Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement?

Annual Enrollment Period is October 15 - December 7 for January 1 start date. Open Enrollment Period is January 1 - March 31, you can change your plan 1 more time for the year.

Did you know some plans have preferred and standard pharmacies?

A new client of mine called and asked why his prescription drug copays were higher than I said they would be on his new plan. Turns out he was going to his old pharmacy, which is a standard pharmacy under the plan, and we talked about switching to a preferred pharmacy to reduce the costs. When he went to the preferred pharmacy, he saw the savings.

My consultations are always at no-cost to any prospect. My goal is to make sure beneficiaries are educated and on the best plan for their health needs.

Texas Human Health Services is mailing this letter to ALL STAR PLUS recipients. If you are with UnitedHealthcare or Molina for Medicaid and happy with them, you do not need to do anything. If you have Wellpoint for Medicaid, then you should check with your providers to see which Medicaid plan they work with best. If you do not choose, then THHS will auto assign you to one. If it is not the one you like, you can change plans after September 1st.

This does not affect your Medicare Advantage Plan, Wellpoint is still available for Medicare/Medicaid plans. You can have UnitedHealthcare/Molina/Community Health Choice for Medicaid and Wellpoint for your Medicare Advantage plan.
