AEP is Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period, also called Medicare Open Enrollment.

From October 15–December 7, people with Medicare can review their health and prescription drug coverage and make certain changes for the upcoming year.

Changes made during AEP generally take effect January 1, 2027.
