Here are some tips for the upcoming Winter Storm. We hope everyone stays safe. Please feel free to reach out to us via social media or directly to your carrier (should we be closed )in the event of a loss.

We cannot emphasize enough how bad the weather is going to impact our area should the forecast remain true!
There will be frozen/busted water lines that can cause MAJOR damage. Most cases are unavoidable yet some are not. Here are some winter weather tips to help you:

1: Disconnect your hoses
2: Cover your outside faucets. There are several ways to do this if you can not find a faucet cover in stock.
3: All crawl space vents should be closed or covered with foam cutouts
4: Crawl space doors should be closed air tight
5: Clean out your gutters
6: Clear any low hanging tree branches, if possible
7: Let your inside faucets dribble a steady stream, not just a drip
8: Open your bathroom and kitchen cabinets under sink to allow heat to reach pipes
9: Fill water jugs for drinking water incase pipes freeze
10: When using space heaters please keep away from objects and never ever plug into an extension cord
11: If using a generator please have proper ventilation
12: Use electronics sparingly, you want to always have a charged battery for your phone
13: Remember pets don't like this weather either. Be understanding when taking them outside
14: Make sure pets have proper shelter and heat
15: Know where your water shut off valve is
16: Have batteries and flashlights available and candles
17: Do not crank your heat up. Your unit is working overtime. Try to keep heat between 62-65.
18: Layer your clothing
19: Have emergency numbers ready. Doctors, hospital, insurance policy information, claims number, and a restoration company should you need them.
20: Do not be driving like a fool. 4x4 doesn't mean you can go everywhere! Be cautious of others.
21: Check on your neighbors and family.

Winter preparation isn't fear - it's comfort, control, and peace of mind.

Most importantly enjoy the down time and spend time with family and friends.
