IMPORTANT PSA: If you are on Medicare, PLEASE contact your broker and review your plan this year! It is CRITICAL. Even if you have happily rolled along in the same plan for years without any changes. There is legislation that will completely change the prescription drug coverage phases and will affect almost every individual's coverage.
Some plans are being completely removed from the market in 2025 (this means if you are on one of these, you WILL lose your coverage if you don't enroll in a new plan)!
Remember: You have between OCTOBER 15 - DECEMBER 7 to make these critical changes that will become effective on January 1, 2025.
I am unable to generally post/discuss specifics, due to compliance. However, in a one-on-one meeting with your documented consent, brokers are allowed to discuss ALL information, how the changes will SPECIFICALLY affect you, and your best options for 2025.
Here are my PROFESSIONAL TIPS:
1) Meet with a TRUSTED BROKER (someone who is contracted with multiple carriers and has numerous options to compare for you and select the BEST one for YOUR specific needs).
2) CONTACT THEM NOW. So many plans are affected that our schedules are already filling up. More people need to be seen this year, so don't wait until the last week to try to get in. If you need help, contact my office and we will FIND A WAY to fit you in. It may be a Saturday at 6pm, but we are determined to not let anyone fall through the cracks. It's THAT IMPORTANT!

3) HAVE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION READY: Your Medicare number (with Part A & Part B dates), your updated list of medications (with dosage and frequency), your P*P and specialists, and your preferred pharmacy. This will help the process go quickly and smoothly.
4) ASK FOR A THOROUGH EXPLANATION of the new prescription drug (PART D) phases and how those will apply to your specific medications.
5) IGNORE the telemarketing calls, calls that use scare tactics, or ones that promise benefits that you may not even qualify for. Contact someone you trust that will advocate for your best interest and check ALL your options.
Our goal is to help our clients land on their feet and put you in an even better situation for 2025. We just have more people to take care of in the same amount of time, so patience is SO APPRECIATED in this upcoming season.
