Many people who seek us out want to be financially organized. They want to feel understood, informed and in control. I'll partner with you and your family throughout your life, regularly revisiting your goals and feelings toward risk. Life is

dynamic and your strategies need to be as well. Who We Serve:
Over the years, our best client partnerships share these common characteristics. If you identify with some of the characteristics below, we might be a good fit to serve you:
- Nearing the Next Chapter: You are 10 to 20 years from "retirement" or already "retired".
- Intentional Savers: You have worked hard to have significant savings and investments, and are looking for help with more complex financial scenarios. Typically, this means you would have an investment portfolio of more than $100,000.
- Kind, Genuine People: You are looking for a partnership with good people who will take care of you and your family, not just give you a business transaction.
- Trusted Financial Partnership: You are not interested in being a DIY investor with a little help now and then... You want an active, trusted partnership with your advisor. Our clients lead busy, successful and fulfilling lives, knowing their financial strategies and retirement goals are in trusted and capable hands. On a personal note, I am blessed with a wonderful family. I attended Iowa State University for Computer Engineering and have an MBA with Finance from University of Massachusetts. My greatest accomplishments are becoming a husband and a father. I’m married to my college sweetheart and better half, Amanda, and together, we have two young children. Most of my free time is spent with them, playing softball, tennis, swimming and exploring the outdoors. We are looking forward to meeting you!

Emergency Fund!

The recent wave of tech layoffs has been a powerful reminder of one simple truth: uncertainty is part of the journey.

In times like these, an emergency fund isn’t just a financial safety net—it’s got a calming effect on your nerves. Knowing you have a few months of expenses set aside can turn a moment of panic into a period of thoughtful transition.

It gives you breathing room to:
• Make career decisions with intention, not urgency
• Avoid taking the first available option out of fear
• Even take calculated risks—whether that’s upskilling, switching industries, or pursuing something new (ahem, hello! :))

Financial resilience isn’t about predicting the future—it’s about being prepared for it.

If you haven’t already, building (or rebuilding) your emergency fund might be one of the most important investments you can make in yourself right now.

A stay-at-home parent might not earn a paycheck—but if you had to replace everything they do, you’d definitely need one (or three).

Think about it: childcare provider, chef, chauffeur, house manager, event planner, and part-time therapist… all rolled into one human. That’s not a job—that’s a full-scale operation.

Now imagine, unexpectedly, having to outsource all of that. It adds up quickly—financially and emotionally.

That’s why life insurance for a stay-at-home spouse isn’t just a “nice to have.” It’s a smart way to protect your family’s lifestyle and make sure the wheels don’t come off when life throws the unthinkable your way.

Protecting their role means protecting your family’s lifestyle, stability, and peace of mind.

Because every contribution—paid or unpaid—deserves to be valued and protected.

What's your number?

Ever heard of your “sleep number”? That magical number that promises perfect rest if your mattress cooperates?

Well… meet its less cozy cousin: your retirement number. 😄

Unlike your sleep number, you can’t just press a button and adjust it when things feel off. Your retirement number depends on a mix of factors—how you want to live, how long you’ll live (no pressure!), and how inflation quietly chips away at your future purchasing power.

And then there’s Social Security… that mysterious line item everyone thinks they understand until it’s time to make real decisions.

That’s where a financial advisor can step in:
• Help you decode Social Security strategies so you’re not leaving money on the table
• Factor in inflation (because $1 today won’t feel like $1 in 20 years)
• Align your plan with your lifestyle goals—whether that’s travel, golf, or finally learning how to relax

Because your retirement number isn’t just a number—it’s the life you want to live.

And unlike your mattress… this is one number you really don’t want to guess.

Large IPOs can come with a lot of fanfare. But in the early days of public trading, it can be difficult to separate long-term fundamentals from short-term momentum.

We break down what history shows about IPO performance – and share key considerations to help investors stay grounded in the fundamentals:

Initial public offerings (IPOs) tend to attract a lot of investor interest, especially when the company is large and well-known. The excitement can be tempting, but it doesn't always lead to strong investment results. We encourage investors to look beyond the headlines and focus on whether the share...

Sleep with one eye open!

Just had a conversation with a client that stuck with me…

We realized his wife didn’t have enough life insurance coverage. Not exactly a fun topic—but an important one. Because financial planning isn’t just about growing wealth… it’s about protecting the people you love when life doesn’t go as planned.

Funny thing about life insurance:
When people apply, suddenly every little ache feels suspicious. “Is that… something serious?” 😅
And once you have coverage? Let’s just say if you make your spouse mad, you might start sleeping with one eye open… just in case 👀

All jokes aside, this is why having a financial advisor matters. It’s easy to overlook gaps, underestimate needs, or assume “we’re probably fine.” A second set of eyes—and a plan—can make sure you’re actually prepared.

Because the goal isn’t to think about worst-case scenarios all the time… but to be ready for them so your family doesn’t have to. Remember, luck favors the prepared!

If it’s been a while since you reviewed your plan (or you’ve never had one), it might be time for a quick check-in.

Most people don’t look for a financial advisor because of markets — they look because of uncertainty and change.

In my experience, it usually comes down to two things:
1️⃣ They want clarity and confidence
There’s no shortage of information — but knowing what actually applies to your situation is the hard part. People want to feel confident they’re making the right decisions.
2️⃣ They have a goal they don’t want to miss
Whether it’s retirement, a career transition, or a major life event — they’re looking for a clear path forward.

At the end of the day, it’s simple:
👉 People want to know they’re on track
👉 And that they’re not making avoidable mistakes

That’s where good advice makes all the difference.
