National Night Out in Hopkins did not disappoint! Thank you to the Hopkins Police Department for putting together a great night for community to come together, play, chat, and get to know our neighbors.

I’ve had the opportunity to sit on the board of the Hopkins Crime Prevention Fund for about a year now, and I am regularly inspired and impressed by the steps that the HPD takes to be integral members of our Hopkins community. Tonight was a really fun testament to that commitment.

And we had some great guest appearances from Hopkins Raspberry Festival Royalty, Hanlon For Hopkins, Keith Ellison, State Representative Cheryl Youakim, Ron Latz, and I got a photo with Lynette Dumalag! It’s great to see elected officials show up for the communities they represent.

Happy Juneteenth!

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865—the day enslaved people in Texas learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It is a day to honor freedom, resilience, and progress.

A really fun perk of heading up the Hopkins Business and Civic Association -HBCA is that I get to meet with a ton of cool businesses and business owners here in town.

Today I got to meet Courtney who owns Sea Dawg’s Pretzels and she brought in some of her INCREDIBLE, Philly-Style soft pretzels. IYKYK

Well there’s a first time for everything!

I’m not much of a golfer, but it’s hard to say no when a great organization like the Hopkins Education Foundation reaches out for help with their annual fundraising scramble at the beautiful Oak Ridge Country Club.

It’s another great day to be in Hopkins!
