It's that time again. Students may be moving off-campus for the summer or in the fall and they need their own insurance. Once they are out of campus housing, they are no longer covered by your homeowners insurance. Be aware of the insurance that may be offered through the rental agency. Frequently, the coverage is for the property management's interests and not yours and often is more expensive. A basic policy should is usually less than $150/year unless there are extenuating circumstances and cover personal property, liability and loss of use.
