The last week of the year is such a strange time to change post marking policies.
If you are planning on mailing a check for a “year end donation”, you might want to put it in the mail sooner, so that it doesn’t become a “year beginning donation”. Maybe you’d like to donate in 2025 and you can’t mail a check in time, digital donation options can work too. If your preferred charity doesn’t offer digital donations, send them my way and I can help set them up on a zero fee donation platform.c

Back in 1987, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee R.E.M. released a song entitled “It’s the End of the World as We Know It (and I Feel Fine)”. (Hopefully, this will provide you with an ear worm for the rest of the day.)

I think I fixed it now, but wanted to share the silliness.

I had an influx of people emailing my business account about healthy snack options and was really confused, until I found the connection. They were getting my information from my business page on LinkedIn. You may be asking yourself, "Justin's Financials does bookkeeping and related business services, right?" (Very astute observation, by the way.) Yes, that's correct, I have nothing to do with the healthy snack category in your local grocery store, but you'll definitely have more time to browse healthy snacks when you have someone (like me) handling your bookkeeping for you.
Enough shameless plugs...

If you haven't picked up on the connection yet. Somehow, LinkedIn associated my business experience with Justin's Financials as the owner, with Justin's brand nut butter products. Unfortunately, a lot of other business owners are being subjected to this as well. Super simple fix, just had to update my experience and reselect my own company, but wow was that confusing.

I named my company using my first name for a purpose. I strive to have a personal connection with every business owner/organization director that we work with. If you are tired of not knowing where your business stands, or maybe you would just like to have a weekend off instead of catching up on the books when operating hours are over, send me a message! I've got a question for everybody today and it might be a little sensitive for some. How do you manage your money? Programs and apps can be super helpful, but it still takes some input on your part. (And this question is for individuals, contractors, and business owners alike!)

So, tell me! Do you only use your online banking? Maybe an app to track your expenses? Or a full bookkeeping suite?

How about your participation in that process? Do you do it all yourself, have somebody do it for you, or somewhere in between?
