If you purchased a home in the last couple years, you’re undoubtedly receiving tons of mail telling you to refinance with these “great offers”. Some may even appear to have come from your lender!

Almost every day a client sends me a picture with a pretty impressive rate, and they were VERY tempted. Thankfully they ask if I could match or beat it before making a call.

Many of these lenders sending you mail are offering “good rates” only by charging a bunch of fees. Most people do not look at the small print, and as seen below to get this offer the client would need to pay 2 discount points!

This same offer, I could refinance them at the SAME RATE with 0 discount points, keeping almost $8,000 in their pocket.

If you’re thinking about refinancing, please give me a call. I’m always happy to give a real opinion on if it’s the right time for you.

On top of this, Minority and Veteran buyers save on average EVEN MORE when compared to retail banks and big box lenders. If you or someone you know are not working with a mortgage broker to buy or refinance your house, you might want to get a second opinion.

Another save from a "Large VA Lender" that
"...proudly provided more VA Loans to Veterans than any other lender in 2022 and more VA purchase loans every year since 2016..."

I was asked for a second opinion this morning. I was able to secure this veteran a 1% lower than current rate, less origination costs, AND my team was able to get automated approval, when the "Large VA Lender" was making them manually qualify.

I will not stop calling this company out as long as they want to tout being "the #1 VA lender" based on volume only because enough veterans are educated.

GET THE WORLD OUT PEOPLE! If you are working with a national company, you likely will get better terms by working with a local broker!

I have been saying for MONTHS, that the jobs data appears manipulated. Maybe now that someone with a fancy title and appearances on financial news segments has said the same thing people will listen.
