It’s the Fall Equinox - or the first day of fall. I have some favorite things about fall - the colors, hot cider and cozy blankets, the first fire in our wood stove after a summer of splitting and stacking the wood, and the breezes and rains of a good fall storm - this year is off to a good start! What are your favorites?

The first summer squash I’ve successfully grown! Looks pretty impressive, until you look at it in relation to the size of my somewhat small hands... probably won’t try to grow these again unless I’ve got a greenhouse! What’s your biggest summer harvesting success?

It’s a baking banana bread, cleaning the windows kind of Sunday morning. And while I’m not a fan of cleaning windows (which is why it doesn’t happen often around here...), I’m pretty thankful that I have windows to clean, and the ability to bake banana bread! What are you thankful for on this beautiful morning?

Spring is finally here!!! The Rhubarb has busted out!!! That’s definitely my first sign of spring - even though we’ve still got lingering snow in the yard. What’s yours?
