Dear farm volunteers and supporters,

The plants are doing great with all this heat, and growing fast! Thanks to our last farm event, we have been able to keep out most of the troublesome w**ds. At this point in time we will be waiting until early/mid-august to harvest. An updated calendar will be going out once the flowers begin to bud and produce. We will need as much help then to pick and deliver vegetables to the food bank.

Please look out for future Facebook posts for updates.

Have a fun and safe summer!!!

What a productive morning we had at the farm! We had 31 volunteers who helped plant and w**d the crop.
We planted cucumbers, melons, and squash that were grown by the HDLA 6th graders in their classrooms. We also direct seeded corn.

The Pinnacles Employee Association hosted the event and supplied the snacks and refreshments.

Patrick Frusetta coordinated the event as part of his AmeriCorps Position with American Conservation Experience at Pinnacles National Park.

Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported the community farm's efforts of growing organic produce for the Community Food Bank of San Benito County!
