Fraud cases are on the rise in Wyoming County! Be aware of phone calls, with scammers pretending to be:

☎️ Grandchildren
☎️ FBI
☎️ Apple Support

Scammers will lie, telling you:

🚫 Your Grandchild is in trouble
🚫 You are wanted by the FBI
🚫 Your bank is taking your money

Scammers will try to trick you into:

🚫 Withdrawing large sums of money
🚫 Purchasing Apple gift cards
🚫 Opening a new bank account
🚫 Giving them your bank information
🚫 Giving money to a courier

Always be skeptical if you receive a phone call asking for money. If you believe you are the victim of a scam, call the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.
