Good morning!! An update on possible Imelda. The models started changing last night on Imelda. They are still showing a close call for the Carolina's coast. But as of right now they' re not showing Imelda making a landfall. They are still showing Imelda getting very close to the coast. Then it looks like they're predicting Hurricane Humberto to pull Imelda back out to sea. It will be something we will still have to watch very closely. There is still a possibility they may change back to Imelda making a landfall along the Carolina coast. So please dont let your guards down just yet stay prepared. Even though she may not make landfall. NWS is still showing quite a bit of rain for the Carolinas. She will also be close enough to cause dangerous surf and rip currents. Beach erosion will be bad also. We will keep you updated on any changes as we get more information.

➡️ The AFN Registry helps emergency responders provide faster and more effective support during a disaster.

➡️ staff use the Emergency Notification System to contact residents in the AFN Registry to check in and share verified information before and during an emergency event.

➡️ Signing up for the AFN Registry is voluntary; registrants can opt out at any time. Any information submitted is strictly confidential and will only be used in the event of an emergency.
