UPDATE: 2:25pm, August 3: ❤️ You did it!!! Less than 48 hours ago, we shared that we were short on volunteer coaches.
As of just now... every single coaching position has strong commitments.
Because of you.
Because over 93,000 people saw this post.
Because it was shared 380 times by neighbors, grandparents, parents, teachers, coworkers, churches, and friends who believed every child deserves a chance to play.
Some of you volunteered.
Some of you tagged someone.
Some of you simply clicked "Share."
Every act mattered.
Right now in Beaufort County, there are children who will never know how close they came to massively delayed practices. They'll simply lace up their cleats, meet their coach, make new friends, and spend this fall making memories.
And that's exactly how it should be.
To every new volunteer coach: thank you for saying "yes."
To everyone who shared our post: thank you for helping us find them.
To our entire community: thank you for proving, once again, that when our kids need us, you show up.
If this post inspired you, we hope you'll consider becoming a volunteer coach for a future season. Youth sports always need positive role models, encouraging voices, and adults who are willing to invest a little time to make a lifelong impact.
We may not need coaches today...
..but somewhere down the road, another child will.

💔About a dozen volunteer coaches had to step away at the last minute, leaving our kids without someone to lead them... these kids don't know it yet and we're hoping to find them coaches before they do.
Imagine being a child who picked out their cleats, counted down the days until the season began, and proudly told their friends they were playing this fall... only to learn their practices have been postponed while they watch other teams already out on the field.
Rec sports are where shy kids find confidence, nervous kids discover they belong, and children meet caring adults who help them believe in themselves.
Sometimes, that's all it takes to change the trajectory of a child's entire life.
🦸 Could that caring adult be you?
You don't have to be a former athlete or know every rule - you just have to be willing to encourage, teach, and show up. We'll handle the rest.
If coaching isn't an option for you, please at least share this post so we can saturate our community's newsfeeds. You could be the reason someone says "yes"... it only takes a few seconds to pass this along.🥰
