Please do not get all emotional when you hear the word "no, I do not notarize documents that are not printed in English"... That is a direct violation and against Hawaii state notary laws if I notarize a document written in a language that I do not read and speak. I understand the plight but still, I can't and won't do it.

Today I received an assignment to assist with a Refinance. The lady borrower was very polite. I told her that I remembered her a few years ago and came to their house. That this is my second time with them. I'm the Hawaiian Japanese Haole girl. When you see me, you'll remember.
She cracked up laughing.

Yesterday I was hired to notarize a document at an elderly care facility. My instructions were simple. Signer must be competent with a valid government id.
Signer was incompetent.
Sorry folks, please hire a lawyer. He needs a guardian or conservator. It's too late for a notary.
