🇺🇸 What a busy week for the office! 🇺🇸

Part of our team spent the week in DC advocating on behalf of our cattle producers. We focused on many of the key issues that effect our operations such as the Farm Bill, animal health concerns, market dynamics and importance of trade opportunities of all ag commodities.

We enjoyed advocating on behalf of our growers and sharing how the decisions made on the hill affect all our family farms at home.

Now it’s time to get back to planting and calving season!

We want to extend a sincere thank you to the The Highland County Chamber of Commerce and everyone who helped make the 14th Annual Ag is Everyone’s Business Event such a success!

From the impactful speakers and organizers to the producers, businesses, and community members who attended, it was a great morning highlighting just how important agriculture is to our local economy and community. Events like this help strengthen the connection between agriculture and the many industries it supports.

At ICAP Crop Insurance, we’re proud to support opportunities that bring our ag community together. Congrats again to the Chamber and all those involved for the time and effort it takes to host such a first class and meaningful event each year.

Here are more details on the $12 billion in bridge payments from the USDA.

USDA will make $12 billion available in one time bridge payments intended in part to aid farmers until historic investments from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, including reference prices which are set to increase between 10-21% for major covered commodities such as soybeans, corn, and wheat and will reach eligible farmers on October 1, 2026.
