Town of Hillsboro The Town of Hillsboro was incorporated in 1886 and is the oldest incorporated town in Pocahontas County.

The council meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Hillsboro Public Library.

Please do the following to be alerted when there is an emergency notification like the recent Hillsboro WV Boil Water Notice.
1. Text “Join 911alerts” to 31002,
2. Sign up on the Regroup app,
3. Call 304-799-6537 to make sure your landline phone or email is registered with the Emergency Alert System. or
4. Scan the barcode at pocahontascountywv.gov.
If you are not currently registered you will not receive emergency notifications.

The town has water. The pressure may be low until the water tank fills up. Remember the boil water advisory.

Update to water main break in Hillsboro. They have found the culprit and need to replace a valve. If the valve cannot be gotten from Marlinton then it will have to be gotten from Roanoke. Best case scenario is later this evening. But it is more likely that water service will be restored mid day tomorrow. Just remember, once service is restored to boil water for consumption until further notice. Thank you for your patience.
