July is National Sarcoma Awareness Month. Did you know although there are more than 50 types of sarcoma, there are two main forms: soft tissue sarcoma and osteosarcoma (bone)? It can grow anywhere in your body and effects men and women equally. It is a rare cancer in adults (1% of all adult cancers) but more prevalent in children (20% of all childhood cancers).

Symptoms:
Soft Tissue: Painless lump, Weight loss, Trouble breathing, Swelling, Fatigue

Osteosarcoma: Pain off and on in the affected bone (which may be worse at night), Swelling (which often starts weeks after the pain), Limp (if the sarcoma is in your leg)
