Appreciative of the opportunity to participate in Fairfield's Career Day. The students had diverse career aspirations, ranging from aerospace engineering, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity to farming, construction, HVAC, and metal fabrication. Very impressed with our future leaders!

A misconception is that if you have to replant, crop insurance will use the replant date. Crop insurance uses the initial plant date- meaning when it was first planted. If you have to replant, the adjusters need your 578s to verify those planted acres to finalize and pay the claim. So why wait? Certify your acres now to avoid the lines at the FSA and make sure the acres are correct before the rush of either replanting or harvest claims.

If you are noticing damage to your crops after the most recent overnight cold temperatures, contact your agent before replanting. An adjuster must be in touch with you before you tear up the field.
