A wonderful Memorial Day started out with hot air balloons and pickleball in the park. In between games one of my buddies turned to me and said, “Richard, how great is this?” Great indeed! I loved the day and I love our wonderful country. Thank you to those who gave all to preserve it.

😱So this happened the other day. I got a message that one of our broker partners bit the dust. Looks like a victim of what we at Direct Mortgage like to call a “race to the bottom”. A lot of wholesale lenders have been dropping their rates by cutting margins in an effort to garner more business. Sometimes it’s unsustainable, like in this case. At Direct Mortgage we have in-house lending options AND we have broker options. That benefits our borrower clients, and we love that. We’ve been through a lot of ups and downs over the years and definitely still going strong. 💪🏼

It’s true that refinances have cooled off in the current market but there is still an option to do a cash out refinance. I helped a friend of mine pull some cash out of his hole a few months ago and he shared this picture with me of the amazing new look he has given his home with the cash. I referred my roofer to him too and that ended up being great for both of them.
