Dryer vents should be cleaned about once per year.
The U.S. Fire Administration reports thousands of dryer fires each year and most dryer fires actually start from the lint buildup in the vent line, not the lint trap. 🤯

We're talking about it in the office and realized... some of us probably need to check our dryer vents as well.
Looks like we just added something to the weekend list.

We often think of Presidents’ Day in terms of monuments and fading ink, but true leadership is forged in the quiet, difficult moments that happen long before the history books are written. It’s forged in the grit it takes to stand back up when the world is watching.

This weekend at our local Austin Beck Memorial Tournament, Cody’s son took home 2nd place. He's experienced the gold before, but there is a profound, heavy kind of pride in watching your child navigate a "loss" with their head held high. 🥈

In that wrestling circle, there is nowhere to hide. But just as our greatest leaders were defined by their resilience in the face of defeat, we saw young leaders in the making this weekend—learning that a silver medal can carry more weight than gold when it’s wrapped in the lesson of how to keep going.

Today, we honor the "verb" of leadership: the trying, the failing, and the relentless courage to protect the people and the dreams that matter most. Whether you’re leading a nation or just leading your family through a tough Monday, your strength is found in your steady heart.
