Anjuman Wazifa Anjuman Wazifa is a 501c (3) Non-Profit Organization which makes interest free loans to Shia Muslim students pursuing higher education in the United States

Who are our Members? Our Members are the lifeblood of the organization. They are community supporters, professionals, retirees, sometimes even students! They are former borrowers. They are brothers and sisters in faith & humanity. It is through their ongoing support that we are able to provide deserving students with the resources they need to lessen their financial burden. What are Membership Due

s? Membership dues are used to fund our student loans. They are $120 per year (or $10 a month), every penny of which goes directly to the tuition cost of our students paid directly to the institution. All administrative costs of Anjuman Wazifa are covered by personal funds from our Board of Directors and Executive Committee. What is a Guarantor? A Guarantor is an individual who agrees to guarantee the loan of a student in the event he or she goes into default. A guarantor must be a member of Anjuman Wazifa in good standing for over 1 year.

Praise be to Allah the Almighty, AWSOM’s Fall 2024 Loan Application Cycle was a record-breaking one! We saw the highest number of applicants, the highest number of approved borrowers, and the highest amount of total interest-free loans disbursed THAN ANY PREVIOUS CYCLE! 📈

One of the key takeaways from this data is that as awareness of AWSOM increases, we continue to see proportionate demand for AWSOM’s interest-free loans.

We pray that Allah enables us to continue to grow and inspires the Shi’a community to join us in our mission of elevating the education level of the Shi’a community and eliminating the use of interest in our community.

AWSOM received a record of 47 applications in this cycle—more than we have even received in a single year! Of that, we have approved a record of 41 applications! The total approved amount is $178,000 in interest-free educational loans for just THIS COMING SEMESTER.
