An account came back “verified”—but did the information you disputed actually change?
Did the balance, payment history, account status, dates, or ownership information get corrected? Or did the account simply remain on your consumer report exactly the same?
Do not focus only on the word “verified.” Compare your investigation results with the report you reviewed before submitting the dispute. Look closely to determine whether the specific inaccurate or incomplete information you identified was updated.
If the information remains inaccurate or incomplete, additional options may be available depending on the facts and supporting documentation.
