If there’s one thing that truly shaped my life growing up, it was watching my dad’s deep commitment to honoring his country. He served with pride, but his devotion didn’t end there. Even in small acts—like replacing deteriorated flags with fresh ones, he always found a way to show his respect. He’d ask businesses and neighbors if he could replace worn flags, and each time, he reminded me of the importance of respect for our country and its symbols. Today, I had the chance to follow in his footsteps and replace a flag myself, honoring the tradition he taught me. This is something I will proudly carry forward and share with my own daughters. Wishing everyone a meaningful Veterans Day, and my deepest thanks to all who have served, especially my dad. Thank you for your service.
