I've had a couple massive wins over the last 2 weeks in the commercial habitat space. One with a commcercial landlord and another homeowners association. The commercial landlord was paying $206k in premium per year. I've got a couple pro tips for the storm tonight!

1. Go get some photos of the exterior of your home before this storm hits tonight. It could be the difference between getting paid out on claim damage and not!

2. Your first call should never be to your carrier. Call your agent, and call to get estimates first! Find out if filing a claim is your best move BEFORE you call the carrier. Carriers want to see 5 years without claims and incidents to keep your premiums low. If you had a derecho claim this is especially important to you!

My own insurance rates are pretty high. My driving record had a few blemishes, Natalie's does as well. We've been working on better driving habits and avoiding claims.
