The Fishing Derby is about to begin.

Registration is from 4:30-5pm in Bonfield Park. Our volunteers can help point you in the correct direction. Judges will be walking about through the derby and have the final decision on prizes. All participants must return to the judges by the yellow building no later than 7pm.

USDA announced an increase to Supplemental Disaster Relief Program (SDRP) payments and extended the application deadline to August 12, 2026, giving farmers more time to access assistance for losses in 2023 and 2024.

Initial SDRP payments were factored at 35%, but after further analysis, USDA is increasing the payment factor to 70%, meaning producers with approved applications will receive an additional 35% of their calculated SDRP payment. Future SDRP payments will also be made using a 70% payment factor.
