The Minimum Payment Isn’t Always the Best Payment 💳
When you receive a credit card bill, you’ll usually see a minimum payment listed.
But paying only the minimum can mean carrying your balance longer and potentially paying more in interest.
Before using a credit card, make sure you understand:
• Your interest rate
• Your minimum payment
• Any annual or other fees
• Your payment due date
• How interest is charged
Whenever possible, paying your statement balance in full can help you avoid interest charges when your card has a grace period.
What do you think people overlook most when using a credit card: interest, fees, or the minimum payment?
How you handle credit and paying your bills is an Important factor in your credit history and affects how much you will pay to get credit.
